Farm of Dreams Lodge stands in the tourist town of Karatu on the western southern slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, about 1,400 feet up, with sweeping views over the hills and an easy reach of the Crater, Lake Eyasi, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. The property is laid out as twelve village-style clusters holding 48 rooms in all — 40 standard and 8 family — set in a garden of flowers and vegetables threaded with flower-lined paths and jacaranda trees. Rooms look over the reserve and the tropical gardens; each has a large en-suite bathroom with WC, shower and washbasins, a telephone and wireless internet, and opens onto a terrace furnished with a table and chairs. There is a dining room and a bar and lounge, a swimming pool, and conference and banquet facilities. Bush breakfasts, lunches and barbecue dinners are available.
