WildlifeLarge baboon troops, blue monkey in the forest, elephant, buffalo, hippo at the pools, giraffe, and flamingo and pelican on the lake. Manyara's tree-climbing lions are famous and genuinely uncommon to see. From the air, the rift wall and the coast.
SceneryThe rift escarpment, the groundwater forest fed by springs at the foot of the wall, the soda lake, and the flight itself, which is worth the window seat.
Baggage on the light aircraft is limited to 15 kg per person in a soft bag, so pack accordingly. Where this follows the northern circuit safari, the morning game drive finishes in time to reach Arusha Airport, three and a half hours from the Lake Manyara gate.
